Week 7 – Confusion Causing Crashes

<<Start at Week 1

Sorry for leaving it so long between updates, the next three updates are going to be a bit cobbled together and rushed so I can get this legacy back on track. I’ve played too far ahead but I’m going to be good again, I promise.

SUNDAY

The week is off to a good start for the Featherstones. Everyone is pulling their scholastic weights. Aiden beats down another chess opponent.

Stein appears dainty and pretty while studying gardening books at the library and her brother, Sylar, paints.

“So, mummy, I went and read those books – just like you asked.”

“I’m pleased to hear it, darly-pod. I can’t tell you enough how important it is for you to be self-sufficient.”

“Don’t worry, mummy. You’ve told me plenty of times. Is it important to wear boxy shirts and no make-up to be a self-sufficient woman?”

“Well, young lady, I’ll have you know this is a very flattering blouse – plenty of your friends’ mothers have told me so. And I do wear make up – I don’t like how vain you seem to be becoming. It’s just as well you’re applying yourself to self improvement now. I’m sure you’ll come to realize that there are more important things than getting your hair done.”

“I’m thinking about getting dental veneers.”

Sylar is quite taken by one of his father’s chess opponents – Charity Glasspires. He spends quite some time gazing at her but doesn’t quite have the courage to progress to speaking.

MONDAY

Aiden heads out the door in a, erm… striking new work outfit.

But alas! Something has happened to him at work that I didn’t write any notes about! Maybe he met the ex-wife there or got electrocuted by a bear.

Lola has a much more subdued evening and manages to maximize her handiness skill/just/ in the nick of time!

The pressure of her self-imposed (imposed by me, at any rate) challenges has taken its toll on Ms. Lola Featherstone.

TUESDAY

Really, the whole situation is taxing for all concerned.

“I’m still leaning towards veneers.”

After school, Sylar settles in his new office space to begin his first novel.

“Aiden, I notices you weren’t at work today. Are you feeling poorly?”

“Not at all, Lola love, I feel great. I’ve decided to retire!”

“Oh. I see.”

“Yep, more time to devote to chess.”

“Don’t you think this is something we should have discussed this before you made the decision? I’m not just your boss, Aiden – I’m your wife.”

“I know, lovely, but you’re just a sliver away from your dream job and with me around the house more you completely focus on achieving your goals.”

“And who knows when there’ll be grand-babies to take care of. I’m doing this for us, Lola.”

And here things get a bit confusing. I had a crash and had to play over several days again. The pictures are all sort of mixed up and confusing so I’m not going to do it day by day, just give you the highlights. Sorry :(

Stein visits with Jeannine Anaya and discovers that the share the insane trait. The pair become fast friends.

Sylar is still enamored with Charity, the older woman.

Lola teaches Stein a thing or two and completes the Master Farmer skill challenge – point!

The racks up 2 more points – one for achieving her LTW (Creature Robot Cross-Breeder) and another for LTH (Now up to 120+).

Stein’s crazy friend Jeannine sleeps over and breakfasts with Sylar.

Lola plows through her research paper for work.

Stein is now refusing to cut her hair and it’s getting creepily long.

Lots of chess playing.

SATURDAY

Aiden’s next chess opponent is young Joline Crosby, be manages to defeat her and reach Rank 3.

That’s not the only good thing that comes out of Joline’s visit. Sylar is smitten and forgets all about his childish crush on Charity.

Unfortunately, right when his first kiss is in the queue, Sylar reaches Yong Adulthood. His final trait turns out to be Over Emotional.

What will become of Sylar and Jailbait Joline’s budding relationship? Will Stein get veneers? Next update coming soon!
